Arts Planning for 2020-21 School Year
In anticipation of completion of our attic space for the 2021-22 school year, which will provide dedicated art and music classrooms, Ross staff and parents who joined the Arts Planning Committee support transitioning to offering art and music instruction on-site at Ross for the 2020-21 school year. Art and music would be offered in Ross classrooms for one year which would be used as a planning year with Ross staff, the Arts Planning Committee, central office and architects to inform a formal arts launch in the completed attic classrooms. We understand instrumental music instruction is a priority for many families and we wish to prioritize hiring a general music teacher who can also teach band or strings, if possible. We also plan to leverage our current community partnerships with the Kennedy Center, Keegan Theatre, National Conservatory of Arts, Spooky Action theatre, Treehouse Atelier and EDCJCC.
Please complete the survey to share your priorities for arts instruction and any additional questions and concerns.
We are also surveying students in Grades 3-5.
The survey will close at 5:00pm on Thursday, February 13.
