Happy New Year!

We hope everyone had a restful and rejuvenating winter break. The children appear to have grown by leaps and bounds since we left for break. We begin our middle of year (MOY) assessment cycle next week and anticipate celebrating student growth in the areas of literacy and mathematics. January may feel short; there is a five-day break for students (January 19-23) so please mark your calendars and plan accordingly. This break coincides with the end of the 2nd Advisory which is the half-way point in the school year. January will also bring us a new DCPS Chancellor, Dr. Ferebee and the FY20 budget release. Ross LSAT representatives will attend a DCPS budget engagement session next week in preparation for the budget release.

Proposed calendars for the 2019.20 school year have been released. The feedback period is currently open.  https://dcps.dc.gov/page/dcps-calendars
