Principal’s Weekly Update
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving break filled with family, friends and delicious food. We have four solid weeks of instruction left before our Winter Break. The next four weeks may be filled with many festive holiday events which can lead to relaxed bedtime schedules and extra treats. Please strive to maintain a healthy sleep schedule and diet for your child during these weeks leading up to the break. It’s also a good idea to review handwashing and sneezing/coughing protocols since cold viruses are making their rounds. We look forward to seeing all students here at Ross on time every day between now and the Winter Break. We also hope to see everyone at the Tree Sale/Bake Sale on Saturday December 8. We will also have a sandwich making station for Martha’s Table. It’s a fun event for the whole family and an important fund-raiser for our school.
STAR Report Card
In early December, OSSE will release new School Transparency and Reporting (STAR) Framework Report Cards for every DCPS and public charter in the city. Learn more about the STAR Framework here: https://osse.dc.gov/dcschoolreportcard
We have tentatively scheduled a parent coffee for Friday, December 14 at 8:00am to review the Ross Report Card.
Mid-Advisory Progress Reports
We are quickly approaching the mid-point of the second advisory. Students in Grades 1-5 who are at risk of receiving a “1” or “2” on their next report card will receive a progress report in backpack mail on Friday, December 7.
It appears my email has been hacked. The only email I use to communicate with Ross families is email@example.com If you receive emails that appear to be from me but with other addresses, please delete them immediately.
