PTA Weekly Update
PTA General Body Meeting

Le Diplomate Glacé Fundraiser, Saturday, May 11, 12:30 – 2:30 p.m.
Every year, Le Diplomate brings a vintage, tricycle ice cream cart to the corner of 14th + Q Streets, NW (right in front of their restaurant) and sells Glacé, a French-style ice cream, made by their pastry chefs. This year, they are going to partner with us and serve special ice cream in our school’s colors (Pistachio glacé and Cream cheese glacé!) prepared by their pastry chefs and will donate all proceeds from that ice cream sale to the PTA.  Please join us this Saturday!

Mo Willems Promotional Video
Mo and Hyperion Books for Children have sent around the attached PDF related to the publishing of Mo’s upcoming picture book, The Pigeon Has To Go To School!  The publishers will be filming a promotional video that will include kids and families in the Washington, DC area.  Please email for more information and to express interest in being a part of this exciting video shoot!

Teacher Appreciation Week
We will celebrate our amazing, caring, and committed teachers and staff at Ross from Monday, May 20 – Friday, May 24 this year.   More details will follow from your room parent(s) about all the ways that our families can participate this year, including ‘thanks-a-latte; you’re tea-rrific” Starbucks Favorite Drink Delivery, ‘thanks for making me a smart cookie” day, with sweets in the Stem Lab/Lounge, & our annual breakfast buffet (with Sign-Up Genius to follow).  We could always use more assistance; if you would like to join the Teacher Appreciation Committee, please get in touch!  We appreciate your support!
