Dear Ross Families:

Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year!  The Ross PTA would like to extend a warm welcome to all of our new and returning families.  We are fortunate to have a wonderful group of teachers and staff at Ross that are so dedicated to guiding our children through their elementary school experience.  We are also fortunate to have a strong community of engaged parent volunteers who work closely with our school to create an exceptional environment for Ross students.

This is my fifth year at Ross, with a child in 2nd grade and another in PK4, and my fourth year on the Ross PTA Executive Board.  In my time here, I have seen the essential role that the PTA plays in facilitating the quality education of our students. The PTA raises more than $140,000 annually to provide the support that Principal Searl, the Ross Staff, and our children depend upon.  We cannot meet our fundraising goals each year without help from you, the Ross families. Whether it is donating your time or your talents to one of our committees or making a monetary donation, please consider supporting our Ross students through the PTA.  We have a number of fun events planned for our students and families this year and I look forward to working with all of you.

Please read below for important reminders and upcoming events, including next Friday’s Open House and Popsicles on the Playground, where you will have the opportunity to purchase school supplies, join the PTA, and buy merchandise.  Please continue to check the Ross website for the latest events and information throughout the year as well as your child’s student folder for school communications.

The PTA is absolutely a team effort that starts with each of you.  If you have any suggestions or ideas about how we can do things better, please let us know.   We are looking forward to a great year working together as a community to support our school and students!

Sincerely,

Kate Gardner
